Did You Catch That One Fable 2 Episode Where…

For anyone who subscribes to the Xbox newsletter, you probably noticed that Fable 2 has now been put up on the marketplace in episodes.  I’ve been wanting to play this for quite some time, but after deciding to get some other games first, I just forgot about it.  Luckily, the first episode is free and offers a surprising amount of playtime.  Depending how much you run around looking for other items, you could easily get two hours out of it.  The game’s quite a bit different than Fable 1, and interacting with people has been improved.  Actually, almost everything has been improved.

I wanted to just get the rest of the episodes, but they are huge!  I still have one of the original 20GB hard drives, and the first episode alone takes up 2GB.  Episode 2 is a little over 4, and I’m unsure how big the other three are.  The only place you can see the size and price ($10/800 points each) for the next episode is in the game when you’ve reached the end of your current episode.  The size isn’t the only problem though.  With four more episodes priced at $10 each, by the time you got the whole game, you’d have dropped $40.  The game can be bought new for $30, and used for around $25.  It should also be noted that you can’t get any achievements until you get episode 2 or the disc.   I think I’m going to go for the disc, but I highly recommend you try out the first episode if you haven’t played the game yet.

A Message From Luke!

So this definitely isn’t the Gamer Lounge’s longest or, for that matter, best episode and I don’t want to sully our reputation. So what do I do? Put out “A Message from Luke!” :-D As you can probably tell from the title, I’m alone in this episode as well. However, that does not mean it’s a waste of your time! I cover Assassin’s Creed, Castle Crashers, Fighting Games, Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, Knights of the Old Republic, and Green Lantern: Sinestro Corps War!

Quick Gaming News Roundup! Yeehaw!

Sing me A Song!

-Rock Band 2 Premium Drum Kit
-Rock Band 2 Gameplay Trailer
-Rock Band 2 Info

So I’ve got to admit, this looks cool. But one question, what the crap is the difference between this and Guitar Hero World Tour? (Yes I realize it has song creation. But with no vocals who cares?) Maybe if they worked together on one game rather than making two clones this would be even cooler than it already is. While the price tag is looking to be something like $180, with wireless drums it actually looks worth it this time around. So…uhh…for the one guy in the world that hasn’t played Rock Band, is there a solo campaign for the drums?

A Cheaper 360!

Yep, this is true. Saw it in the Best Buy ad today. You can now get the 20gb 360 for only $300. But seriously, has anyone not boughten one yet? :-)

Portal 2

LINK. Awesome! While I can’t say this is my favorite game, I did enjoy playing the game quite a bit. It’s nice to see game developers take some risks and come out with something cool!
