Howdy all, I’m just chiming in to let you know that I’ll be heading out of state for awhile for a nice little family vacation. I do still plan to put up a few blog posts, and we do still plan on getting a new episode out this Sunday. However, please forgive my lower sound quality this week, because I’m not taking such a fragile mixer and microphone with me! I’ll most likely just be recording with the MacBook’s built in Mic, and Larry will be doing the recording this time.
Thanks for downloading our shows, and thanks for visiting The Gamer Lounge!

It has been FOREVER since we’ve put out a new episode, but now we finally did. Considering the fact that tonight’s episode went so well, the chances of us staying consistent are really good now. Since we had 6 months worth of stuff to cover, this was an extra long show. Topics included E3, UP, and pretty much everything else that’s in the below mountain of tags. At a little over an hour and a half, the show should keep you busy until next Sunday! :-)

After playing the Xbox 360 version of the title, I was quite please to see this sitting on the featured page of the mobile app store. At $4.99 this thing is a steal, and I recommend you try it out. I made a little audio review I though I would share with you:

Yes folks, I did not die. I am still here, and it is nice to see that many of you listeners/readers are still hanging around here as well. For those of you that don’t check out the site (not you), I made a little .MP3 saying that I’m still around. You can here the slightly better recording quality the mixer/new mic offers as well.

Not bad, eh?
While I’m at it, I might as well update the Casual WoW listners as well. I know what you’re thinking, “Sure, he makes an .MP3 for the GL but not for us CW listeners.” Well folks, the truth is I can’t. Maybe all that complaining I did jinxed it or something, but not a single podcaster can upload any more files to Mypodcast. And, chances are, I might actually lose all of the files I had uploaded. Thank god for Mevio!
Here’s a little extra tidbit that wasn’t put into the feed though. I wanted to mess around with recording some “songs” I had came up with, and this was the result. Not sure if I’ll add many more of these, but keep your eyes peeled.

Not quite your Justin Timberlake, but hey, I’m free!
New episodes up soon…and this time I mean it…really, I do.

Just last night the entire podcasting upgrade arrived! Unfortunately, I’ve been so sick lately that I haven’t been able to set it up or take pictures yet.
. Hopefully by tomorrow I’ll be ready to go!

Well folks, it’s been a few months now since there has been a GL episode, and even more since I’ve has a CW. Well, you know what? After having two entire new show recordings get ruined, I am finally, at last, seriously this time, going to go with a mixer to end this crap. Oxygen sealed cables, extra channels, a nice new mic…doesn’t it sound great?
What does this mean for you? Better sound quality, more sound effects in the show, much faster editing times which will allow you to get your show at least a day early, not to mention all co-hosts will sound great.
I hope to make the big purchase this weekend and will take plenty of pictures when it arrives.

After coming back from Kung Fu Panda, I decided to try out the new Firefox 3 beta. I was horribly disappointed! Sure the new look was decent, but I’m still a fan of the old. The worst problem was any website I visited would randomly change it’s zoom! One minute I could barely read the text, and the next a paragraph filled up half my monitor. Then there was the small fact of no more spell check. Crap! How can I survive without spell check?
Anyway, after awhile I decided to revert back to 2.0. However, that caused Firefox to crash endlessly, so in the end I had to uninstall Firefox, re-download the new version, then re-install it. Bah! It sounds promising though and I hope the good people of Mozilla make this puppy the best it can be!
By the way, I’m currently looking into getting a mixer which will greatly help with recording the podcast. However, for future reference, would anyone be interested in having live Skype calls to the show and being a part of the podcast? If so leave a message here or shoot an email to gamerloungepodcast@gmail.com
