Our twentieth episode has arrived! It’s a little bit different of a recording setup this time, but really it sounds even better, which is rather surprising. As you can tell from the above picture, we are going to talk about Michael Jackson, the iPhone 3GS and iPod Touch, Serious Sam HD, and Best Buy selling used games and movies. Other topics include my time with a PS3, Hero of Sparta, PSP Phone, 25 games you should play before you die, and more!
By now, almost all of the internet has heard of OnLive. The service that will allow you to stream high quality games over your internet without having any expensive hardware (including top of the line graphics cards). While it does certainly sound great, it also seems like it could be a bit too good to be true.
After the break we will look at some of the features this puppy is planning to have.
I’ve often thought about ploppin’ down a big sum of cash to build myself a new gaming rig, and each time I do, the game I want to play is Crysis. Luckily for my wallet, it is now going to make an appearance on the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 with Crysis 2. However, there is a reason a great gaming computer costs so much these days: it can do some incredible things. In the above video, you can see a comparison of the CryEngine 3 on a PC, and then on a console. It’s obvious that the PC has a leg up here, but is there enough difference there to justify spending around $1000 more than you would on a console?
At long last we have an episode again! In this episode we talk about the delay, a car accident, Wrath of the Lich King, Quantum of Solace, Left4Dead, the iTunes app store, Thanksgiving festivities, and so much more!
In the show, we shared a few links with you that would allow you to keep tabs on what we’re doing. They will be found below. (But hey, you’ve already found my main site! )
And for those of you interested, you can see pictures of my wrecked Camaro right HERE. (You can throw me a friend request on there as well if you like.)
Finally I’ve been able to add something new to the RSS feed! It’s not much mind you, but at least it’s something! Basically, the whole point of this episode is just to say Fallout 3 rocks.
Homework and finals have mounted a large attack this week on both me and Larry, which leaves us stuck in the front lines of desks taking down that homework head on. Unfortunately, this leaves us with no time for a show.
I will give you one piece of advice though. If you haven’t ever played Fable on the PC, then go pick it up! I just started playing it this weekend and am loving every minute.
My sister and I temporarily take the reigns on this episode and talk about the new iPods, Chuck, Fracture, Warhammer Online, House, CSI Miami, and Larry Bear. Also, a new hard drive, Apple microphone and how iTunes makes me an honest man.
It’s finally here! A new episode featuring both Larry and I! If I do say so myself, this is our best episode yet. We wrote out some notes to follow during the show, things flow smoothly, and there were no sound hiccups that I could find.
Some topics are Spore: Origins and Star Wars: The Force Unleashed for the iPod touch/iPhone, free MMO subscription models, Diablo 3 before Starcraft 2, Wrath of the Lich King release date, Warhammer Online, Smallville, Marble Blast Ultra, Star Wars TV series, Larry’s new mac, and more!
Did I mention we actually had a little bit of viewer/listener input this time? I read one of the comments on the blog dealing with the free subscription model. That could be you next time! So leave a comment or send an email to gamerloungepodcast@gmail.com
This is one of those times where I just could not think of a good image to search for. Instead I just searched for “fat bulldog.” This is the result!
In this episode Johan (From Sweden!) joins us and we talk about everything from EVE Online to Hancock to gas prices. It’s worth a peek! Just to warn you though, you might have to turn up your computer/.mp3 player’s volume to hear Larry at certain points.
I stand alone in this episode talking about everything from MMOs to Kung Fu Panda. It’s really worth a listen! Be sure to email your thoughts to gamerloungepodcast@gmail.com!
